In Service Teacher Trainings for the years 2015-16


For the year 2015-16 as per the draft approval of PAB for in service training action taken for preparing modules.  Preplanning meeting held at the end of March.  


As per the pre planning, workshop conducted for primary level training (module preparation) on 28.04.2015.  SSA, SCERT, Consultants, DIET, BRTEs, Practicing Teachers participated  in 8 groups at SCERT hall.  The faculties involved in primary level module preparation, held several discussion and arrived a skeleton of a module.  It was instructed not to repeat the old modules. State Project Director, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan & Director, SCERT address the module preparation team to find Innovative and simple techniques to promote constructive learning at primary level.

On 29.05.2015 all the groups involved in upper primary module preparation were gathered after discussions and experts opinion basic structure of all modules were developed and got the approval of State Project Director, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.

  • To  develop a fondness of reading and writing among teacher and children
  • To make the students read and write with ease and not to stammer
  • To develop the ability to read with comprehension and write with a purpose

Maths: Usage of SLM kit box and solving Mental Maths  - 3 days

  • Math Kit is a set of appropriate teaching-learning materials helping children understand math concepts through concrete operations.
  • The Reinforcement training on mathematic skills and SLM Kit helps teachers to connect 22 different activities for each skill once again. 
  • To give more practice in place values
  • The number rods, sand paper numerals and specridle board are very useful to the beginners. Children feel the shape of the numbers when they trace the sand paper numerals. Students like these materials so much that they practice by themselves again and again without seeking the support of the teachers
  • Different coloured beads attract the little minds and force them to do the next activity automatically. This increases learner's interest to learn more about mathematics.

Remedial Activities for late bloomers (languages & Maths) - day

  • After analyzing the results of achievement test, SLAS etc the hard sports of learning languages, and basic maths were identified.
  • The specified areas, where lagging occurs are taken into concern.
  • Remedial teaching methods were adopted
  • The possible ways to overcome the hard spots were suggested
